Sixty solar panels are placed on the roof of KHK office/factory building. The photovoltaic system (10kW-rated) generates
approx. 10,000 kWh of electricity per year..
In terms of power generation by
a thermal power plant, the amount of CO2 emission, which
is a factor in global warming, can be reduced by
1.89 tons a year. Approximately 2,430 litters of
crude oil can also be saved a year. This amount
of CO2 requires 1.94 hectares of woodland to be
absorbed.
We use hybrid cars and also idling stop cars for business purposes to minimize an impact on the environment.
We are trying to employ semi dry-cut methods to do without water-soluble cutting oil, which resuls in the reduction of liquid waste and the saving of natural resources.

70 percent of office supplies we purchase are made of environmentally friendly materials.
Voluntary Cleaning
We clean up the street in front of our company once a month as volunteer activities.
Our building has adiabatic films covering windows and adiabatic paint applied on the roof, blocking heat from the outside in summer, and keeping warm inside of building in winter. This helps cut power consumption for air-conditioning.
Rooftop gardening
On the rooftop terrace, we grow sweet potatoes having high heat-shielding performance.
